CLOTHING:
Besides typical summer clothes, bring warm, lightweight clothes for fishing: a jacket, sweater, cotton or polar socks, rain gear and two pair of warm shoes (trecking shoes is recomended). Weather varies suddenly, especially during November, March and April when the difference of temperature between the day and the night is very dramatic.
WADING:
Most of the fishing is in rivers or streams, wading from the shore and sometimes in rafts and float-tubing.
One pair of breathable waders and one pair of neoprene waders is recommended, to be well prepared for the change in the weather.
The comfort of your wading shoes is very important also, and we recommend wading shoes without nails and with felt soles.
RODS:
Bring 2 or 3 rods. The best combination is:
3/4 weight for spring creeks and small flies
4/5 weight for dry flies and nymphs
6/7 weight for streamer fishing
LINES:
Floating Lines for each rod
Sink tip lines (wet tip II at IV)
Tenny T200 or T300.
Shotting line Sink IV or V
LEADERS:
From 4 to 9 feet long.
The diameter of the leader is very important, depending if one fishes in a lake or in a river. Strong currents add compounded with the strength of the tout make the leader size important.
We recommend leaders from the 5x at the 1x.
